The Romanian graduates are jobless

More than 100.000 students have graduated this year in Romania. This means that the unemployment rate will raise a lot, comparing to last year. After graduating, most of the students can’t find a job because not too many people hire anymore, maybe because of the economical crisis. Another reason, the employers say, is that the new graduates are not prepared enough, or they don’t have any experience. The employers are usually looking for a well-prepared student, with some experience in their background.

Many students from Romania won’t understand that the extracurricular activities, such as joining clubs, volunteering, and doing community service is important to them in order to be able to get a job after graduation.

While is time build their resume, many graduates don’t have too many things they can write down, because of lack of experience. Most of the time, the graduates in Economics, Law and Politics, end up working in constructions, or the best – working as a waiter in a restaurant.

The Romanian universities still continue accepting undergraduates in some areas that the country doesn’t need specialists. That’s why, it happens many students to choose Law or Economics and cannot find a job, because there are way too many applicants, and the competition is very big.

According to a research, the best chances to find a job in this financial crisis in Romania have the students that have graduated from a Technical faculty, Foreign Languages Faculty, Medicine, and Agriculture.

It will still be really difficult for a fresh graduate to find a job because the country has recently applied the austerity measures which fires up many people from their jobs. The only choice for many of them is to go in any other European country and work there.
