Moldova's destiny after elections is uncertain

Despite the massive number of the people who voted (60%), Moldova might have another year of political crisis.

Thousands of Moldovan students who study in Romanian Universities massively voted on Sunday. Lines of people were formed in front of the Consulates of Moldova in Romania. The teenagers voted for a change in their country. They want a democratic society and want to return home to continue the reforms.

After the results, the students became very disappointed and many of them say that they have no more reasons to go back to Moldova after they graduate. This is the third time in the last two years when Moldova is trying to elect a president. Being a Parliamentary Democracy, the voters elect the party that would represent them, and the party elects the president.

Most of the elderlies vote for the Communists. The teenagers want a liberal-democratic future of the country and they vote for the democratic and liberal parties. The Communist Party got 39% of the votes and the Liberal-Democratic Party - 29%.
